Request account and data deletion

Last updated: July 25, 2026

Handled Calls LLC provides this page so business account administrators and other people can request deletion of a Handled Calls account and associated data without installing or signing in to the app.

Email a deletion request Open Handled Calls

If the email button does not open, email hello@handledcalls.com with the subject “Handled Calls account and data deletion request.” You do not need to be signed in to send this request.

Request deletion from the app

A business account administrator can submit the existing in-app request:

  1. Sign in to Handled Calls.
  2. Open Settings, then Business and account.
  3. Find Delete account and data and select Request business deletion.
  4. Review both confirmation steps and submit the request.

An in-app business deletion request immediately removes access for the business team and places the account in a pending-deletion state. After verification, Handled Calls normally completes deletion within 30 calendar days, except for limited records that must be retained for legal, security, billing, or opt-out obligations.

Request deletion by email

Use the email address associated with the account when possible. Include:

  • the business name on the Handled Calls account;
  • the name and email address of the account administrator;
  • whether you want the entire business account deleted or are asking about specific personal information; and
  • a safe way for us to contact you if the request needs clarification.

Do not email a password, multi-factor authentication code, payment-card information, call recording, transcript, or other customer data. Emailing a request does not immediately remove account access. We first verify the requester’s identity and authority, then confirm the request’s scope. We normally complete verified requests within 30 calendar days and will explain if a legal or operational exception requires more time.

What the request covers

After verification, Handled Calls will delete, redact, or de-identify account and associated data that we are not required or permitted to retain. Depending on the account and the request, this may include:

  • business profile, service, schedule, and call-handling settings;
  • team user profiles and account access;
  • customer, lead, job, booking, review, and follow-up records;
  • call, voicemail, transcript, summary, message, and recording-reference data; and
  • device notification tokens and other account-linked operational data.

What may be retained

Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary or permitted for legal, security, operational, or compliance purposes. This can include:

  • billing, tax, accounting, payment, refund, and dispute records;
  • audit, security, fraud-prevention, and abuse-prevention records;
  • SMS consent and suppression records needed to document consent or continue honoring opt-outs;
  • records needed to verify and document the deletion request; and
  • limited backup copies until they are removed through normal backup-retention cycles.

Retained information remains protected and is used only for the reason it was retained. See the Privacy Policy for more detail about retention and data rights.

Requests about a business customer’s records

If you called, messaged, booked with, paid, or otherwise interacted with a business that uses Handled Calls, that business generally controls its customer records. Contact the business directly when possible. You may also email Handled Calls, and we will route or handle the request as appropriate based on our role and legal obligations.

Questions or a request submitted by mistake

If a request was submitted by mistake, contact hello@handledcalls.com promptly. Restoration may be possible while a business remains pending deletion, but it cannot be guaranteed after deletion, redaction, or de-identification has been completed.
